Spaghetti or Baked Beans Toastie Egg Pots

Treat someone special to breakfast in bed! Put the kettle on and fetch the paper while these tasty pots cook in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices white or multigrain toast bread
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2-3 Tbsp finely grated tasty cheese
  • 420g can Wattie’s Spaghetti
  • or 420g can Wattie’s Baked Beans
  • 4 eggs

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Toast bread, then, using a cookie cutter, cut out shapes from the bread. Crumble the remaining bread and crusts to make breadcrumbs. Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl with the parsley and cheese.

2. Spoon Wattie’s Spaghetti or Wattie’s Baked Beans into 4 ramekins using about ¼ can per dish. Break an egg into each ramekin and top with flavoured breadcrumbs.

3. Bake for 15 minutes or until egg is cooked to your liking. Serve hot with shaped toast for dipping.
